Two of man’s oldest crafts unite in this celebration of warp and weft. It is a deceptively simple idea yet amazingly complex in its design and flawless execution. Every horizontal and every vertical is a drawer, designed to hold CDs and DVDs.
What says heirloom more clearly than a chest? This one looks back, as well as forward. Evoking the ancient elements of the torii and the kamishimo, its simple, crisp lines are both contemporary and timeless.
Inspired by a Burtynsky print, this stack of drawers recreates its movement and texture in riftsawn white oak. Designed for an entry hall, the drawers are sized to hold objects we take to and fro everyday.
